Hiran Vedam

Hiran Vedam is a commercialization expert specializing in technology based companies in materials, wireless and energy. She combines her experience in technology, business, IP and finance to provide venture capital companies and SME¡¯s with deal sourcing, due diligence and business development services. She provides strategic policy support to governments and maintains the Singapore nanotechnology eco system map as part of the SingNano initiative. Prior to her current role, Hiran was a senior manager, Industry Liaison at the National University of Singapore (NUS). There, she was involved in spinning-off companies, licensing technologies to commercial companies and in business development activities to promote collaboration between NUS and industry. Prior to joining NUS, Hiran founded and managed MAtrika Pte. Ltd., a wireless applications company and fostered the establishment of Honeywell's R&D center in Singapore.
Hiran has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, MBA from INSEAD and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Dong Yixiang
Yixiang is experienced in bioengineering applications of nanomaterials - specifically use of electrospun nanofibers and other nanomaterials for tissue engineering applications. He is inventor/co-inventor of several patent pending inventions related to nanofibers and their applications such as glass anti-wetting treatment using electrospun nanofibers and nanofiber covered stents. He has a BSc in Biological Science and Biotechnology from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. from National University of Singapore.
Weijie Kong
Weijie is experienced in energy related applications of nanomaterials. Prior to joining NanoConsulting, he was an analyst at Nanoholdings LLC, where he did due diligence and investment assessment of new nano-energy related investments. Before that, he was a research intern at NanoGram, where he developed the next generation of nanomaterials for battery electrodes.He received his B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and as a part of its Overseas College programme studied at Stanford University |
